'There could be civil war'

A delegation of U.S. senators visiting Ankara said yesterday that Iraq was not involved in a civil war but could move in that direction if more is not done to back efforts to form a national unity government.
�The situation in Iraq is not a civil war, but it could become one unless there is continued support behind the people of Iraq as they are now forming their new government,� John Warner, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee and a Republican from Virginia, told reporters after talks with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan."
