A Turkish organization that operates a private elementary school next to a mosque in Monroeville wants to establish its permanent home in a vacant school in South Park.

The West Penn Cultural Center is a nonprofit organization founded in 1999 by Turkish families who say their mission is to preserve their traditions, culture, language and Islamic religious practices brought from their country, which is 98 percent Muslim."
