Art teacher Carole Williams refuses to confine her world to the classroom.
Instead, she has brought to her classroom the world.
Because of her extensive travels studying abroad during the summer breaks, she has not only given her students at Shawe Memorial High School a unique look at art, but has also introduced them to new cultures and an understanding of people —a chance many would never have gotten otherwise.
“Carole has gone the extra mile to apply for grants and take advantage of many opportunities to travel around the world,” said Shawe principal Jerry Bomholt. "
