"...Two young women designers, Catherine Malandrino and Ece Ege, have opened their first Parisian stores.
Malandrino's boutique opened Monday on the corner of Rue de Grenelle and the Rue des Sts-Pères. The designer already has four boutiques in America and claims as fans Madonna, Julia Roberts and Mary J. Blige. The 90 square meter, two-level boutique was designed by the architect Christophe Pillet. In addition to the clothes, Malandrino carries her newly introduced line of shoes and accessories.
Since her first Paris collection in 1991, Ege and her Dice Kayek collection have been part of the Paris fashion scene. Her new boutique, in a former antiques shop, carries a selection of the little black dresses that are her signature and, like almost everything in her store, are made in Turkey."
