"Greek FM: Turkey's European future lies in its own hands

Turkey's European future lies in its own hands and on the application of European norms and practices, both inside Turkey and in its relationships with its neighbors, including Greece and Greek Cyprus, said Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis on late Thursday.
Bakoyannis made the remarks at a joint press conference with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice following bilateral talks dominated by Turkey's European Union membership bid and the Cyprus problem.
Other issues that topped the agenda of the meeting were international issues such as the Middle East, Iran, Iraq, the Balkans and anti-terrorism efforts."
