EU Term President Austria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ursula Plassnik said that Turkish Criminal Code (TCC) implemented last year has to be revised.
The report, reflecting the European Parliament’s opinion on the EU Council’s “Document for Expansion Strategy 2005”, was discussed at the General Assembly in Strasburg yesterday. The Austrian Foreign Minister repeated their demand for removal of code 301, a controversial TCC article, declaring that they were helping Turkey fulfill the responsibilities of the Ankara Protocol. In the report written out by the president of EP Foreign Affairs Commission Elmar Brok, candidate countries are suggested a “multifaceted political relationship” instead of full membership."
