"Women urged to contribute to world peace

The Romanian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce in partnership with UNESCO Romania yesterday organized a symposium on the role of women in peace among religions.
Aimed at underlining the role of women in preserving peace around the world, the conference tackled issues such as women's participation in making decisions, their role in developing the dialogue between cultures and their percentage in international structures.
'We want to send a message of peace, taking into consideration the current context around the world, with the cartoons and with the terrorism around us,' said a director in the Romanian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce, Camelia Ionita."
