The U.S.' chief diplomat on Iran's nuclear program, Ambassador Gregory Schulte, met with Turkish officials on Thursday and Friday in Ankara.

Ankara promised to act in accordance with the international community to convince Iran to open its nuclear facilities to international inspection during the talks with Ambassador Schulte, the U.S. representative at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), according to a high-ranking U.S. official. But Ankara also made clear that 'it would oppose any sanctions against Iran' due to possible economic losses of Turkey as a neighboring country, according to the same source."
