"Greek Admin: EU rejects Turkey’s Cyprus plan

The Greek Cypriot Administration declared that the EU had completely separated financial aid to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC) from trade regulations, fulfilling the wishes of the Greek Administration and dispelling trade under these circumstances, therefore putting the Turkey’s Cyprus plan back on the shelf. Yorgo Lilikas, a spokesperson for the Greek Government, said that they were very pleased with the decision, going on to say that this came as a result of meetings Greek Leader Papadopulos held with the European Union’s currently President, Austria."
