"Supreme Court Prosecutor's Office Asks For Annulment Of Journalist's Conviction
ANKARA - Chief Prosecutor's Office of the Supreme Court of Appeals asked on Friday for the annulment of the sentence inflicted earlier to Turkish journalist of Armenian origin Hrant Dink.

The Prosecutor's Office completed its report on the case of an earlier verdict on Dink for insulting the country's national identity in a series of articles, published in his newspaper. Dink, who is the editor of the bilingual Armenian-Turkish newspaper Agos, was convicted to six months in prison under Article 159 of the Turkish Penal Code. The execution of the sentence was later suspended."
