Turkey exported goods and services worth nearly $73.5 billion in 2005, setting a new record.
ISTANBUL - Turkey exporters are confident that they can exceed a government prediction of $79 billion in overseas sales in 2006.
Though Turkish exports are being hampered by the present strong lira, overseas sales for the year should top the $79 billion mark set by the government, according to Oguz Satici, the head of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM)."
