"Turkey: New Turkish Lira Gains Value Against 65 Currencies

15:15 - 30 January 2006 - The new Turkish Lira went up 65 notches in the ranking of currencies of the world and according to the official notification published by the Turkish Finance Ministry, the New Turkish Lira (YTL), which started circulating as of January 1st 2005, after the removal of 6 zeros, overcame the currency of 65 countries.

The currencies that are more valuable than YTL are: the American, Canadian and Bahaman dollars, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan and Libyan dinars, British pound, euro, Swiss franc, Japanese yen, Cypriot lira, Latvia lat, Panaman balboa and Omani riyal."
