ImageEvery day, at European embassies all over Ankara, groups of young people can be seen queuing for visas.
While European visitors to Turkey can usually get a visa on arrival at the airport for a small fee, Turks can visit most European countries but sometimes this is after lengthy interviews with consular officials and the production of sheaves of documents.
According to some young Turkish people, it is easier to get to the US, than to the European Union."
