What if Cervantes' fictional character Don Quixote were to come to Ankara as an ambassador? This hero would have trouble with modern-day traffic, would fall into a trench dug for a natural gas pipe, would try to stay at a "han" he thinks is an inn but is really a shopping center and would attack the Ankara citadel, mistaking it for a monster. Well, the venerable Quixote returns to life in today's Ankara in Mete Karakul's children's book titled "Don Quixote in Ankara." "
