German Chancellor-designate Angela Merkel repeated yesterday that if the European Union does not have the capacity to embrace Turkey as a member at the end of Ankara's accession negotiations, then the bloc should establish some sort of privileged relationship with the candidate country, the Anatolia news agency said."
