Employment in Istanbul makes up 11 percent of the total employment in Turkey, according to data Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Chairman Murat Yalcintas provided.
Yalcintas and some Turkish parliamentarians, who have been visiting the German city of Cologne for the world’s biggest food fair Anuga, attended a reception hosted by Turkish Consul General Mustafa Asim Temzigil.
During a speech he made there, Yalcintas noted Istanbul Chamber of Commerce had about 350,000 members, making it the third biggest in the world."
