The British and Spanish press suggest current EU presidency holder Tony Blair has made Turkish EU entry a top priority.

German newspapers report that Turkish foreign minister Abdullah Gul has branded opposition leader, and election favourite, Angela Merkel’s idea of a privileged partnership for Ankara as 'immoral'."
