Once again those who see the world as a battleground have victimized the innocent and the uninvolved to pursue their goals. Normally, I would say political goals; however, the act of terrorism, this time staged in London, betrays its verbal partner, for politics is the process whereby rules governing collective life and managing collective affairs are realized in a consensual manner and through free choice.. Terrorism, instead, is the imposition of one side's choice or will on others, often by violence or threat of violence. There is no consensus or acceptance in this unequal relationship, just domination and subjugation of the other. Hence, it is hard to talk about politics while the basic character of the deed is overt or covert violence.
