AMSTERDAM, July 20 (Reuters) - Dutch bank ABN AMRO NV (AAH.AS: Quote, Profile, Research)(ABN.N: Quote, Profile, Research) is one of five large international banks considering a bid for a controlling stake in Turkey's Garanti Bank (GARAN.IS: Quote, Profile, Research), a Dutch daily reported on Wednesday.
The five banks are already in due diligence, Het Financieele Dagblad reported citing sources close to negotiations."
