Lefkosa [Nicosia], 24 June: President Mehmet Ali Talat of the [self-declared] Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) said on Friday [24 June] that the views of United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Kieran Prendergast and the Greek Cypriot side didn't give much hope about the settlement of Cyprus problem in the near future."
