You can buy just about anything on Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Street), the pedestrian boulevard in Istanbul that runs from Cumhuriyet Meydani (Republic Square) almost to the banks of the Bosporus. Apart from clothing, knickknacks and local snacks, there is one item that you may have trouble finding outside Turkey: cesm-i bulbul, a type of glassware whose name means 'nightingale's eye.'"
