"Turkey shrugs off French 'No' but fears persist

ANKARA (Reuters) - Turkey's government and financial markets on Monday shrugged off France's rejection of the European Union constitution, but lawmakers and political analysts said it could damage Ankara's bid to join the EU.
Fifty-five percent of French voters rejected the charter in Sunday's referendum, plunging the EU into political crisis and raising the possibility of delays in its further enlargement.
'This result is something which concerns the French public ... not Turkey,' the state Anatolian news agency quoted Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul as saying."
