"TURKEY-IRAQ: PM JAAFARI ARRIVES IN ANKARA FOR FIRST FOREIGN TRIP

Ankara, 20 May (AKI) - Iraqi prime minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari arrived in Turkey on Friday, on his first official foreign trip since a new government was formed in Baghdad last month. Al-Jaafari's delegation, which includes five senior cabinet ministers - finance, oil, water, electricity and industry - is expected to focus on security and economic issues in talks with Turkish leaders. The recent upsurge in violence in Iraq which has claimed more than 400 lives continues to hamper the resumption of trade links between the two neighbouring countries. "
