Turkish growth is forecast at 5.0 percent in 2005 and 5.1 percent in 2006, while inflation is to decline to 6.4 percent in 2006 from 10.6 percent in 2004

Economies of most EU newcomers will grow much faster than the rest of the bloc in 2005-2006 and inflation will fall, but some countries may miss budget deficit reduction targets, the European Commission said this week. "
