Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has returned to Turkey after completing his African tour. More than concrete results, the second stage of the tour promises future investments. A Turkish diplomat described the tour as a 'central plank in the Africa-Mediterranean opportunities'.
This tour is an amicable visit extending beyond historical Ottoman territory. Erdogan went to Morocco as a 'friend'. As the super power of its time, the Ottoman Empire reached as far as Algeria, but could not penetrate Morocco. According to Moroccans, this shows the power of the Moroccan state of the time. "
