It was unthinkable until a few years ago: Ministers, commanders, governors and university professors taking part in Nevroz celebrations. Flags of the separatist gangs unfurled, separatist songs were heard and still the police and gendarmerie did not intervene. Except for a few isolated incidents, an atmosphere of festivity was observed throughout the country on Nevroz Day in full conformity with the �new day� understanding."
