"No Delay in Accession Talks: Turkish FM
The Foreign Minister said that the government had not slowed down in the process for the EU membership after the bloc announced a negotiation date for Ankara.

March 18 - Turkey’s Foreign Minister has rejected suggestions that membership negotiations with the European Union will be delayed due to the bloc’s decision to defer accession talks with Croatia.

Foreign Minister Abdullah Gül said that the decision to suspend negotiations with Croatia, taken by the EU due to Belgrade’s slow action on hunting down war criminals, did not a serve as warning for Turkey."
