Deputy Prime Minister Abd�llatif Sener says Turkey has not been able to benefit from EU funds to the same extent as previous member candidates and called for greater EU support

State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abd�llatif Sener attended a conference in Kizilcahamam on Friday on regional development programs within the framework of Turkey-European Union financial cooperation.
Noting that Turkey could make important contributions to the EU once it becomes a member, Sener said the EU should provide broader support to ease the path for Turkey's accession. He said Turkey has not benefited from EU funds to the same extent as previous member candidates and noted that it should be determined to what extent and through which mechanisms Turkey will benefit from these funds. "
