While it was not discussed separately at the Brussels summit, anti-Americanism across allied countries was one of the most talked-about issues.
Americans are aware international public opinion is against them. They know the number of NATO allies in Europe that are against them is constantly increasing. However, they don't care about it that much. They just express their displeasure about it and leave it at that. They don't get as aggressive as they did when they faced down Turkish anti-Americanism. They don't express their anger at their other allies that openly. So why was Washington's reaction to Turkish anti-Americanism so harsh? "
