"Europe House report- Tuna Beklevic - Anatolian Young Leaders Movement (AGL) visits Miami
Tuna Bekleviç, considered by some as one of Turkey’s upcoming new young leaders visited Miami today. He came to the US at the invitation of the US State Department. At the conclusion of this orientation period Mr. Bekleviç took the opportunity at his own initiative, to go on a speaking tour to a number of US cities which are the home of large Turkish communities.
Some 30 students and business professionals came to the University of Miami at the invitation of the Assembly of Turkish American Associations, and the University of Miami Turkish Student Association, to hear the enthusiastic predictions of Tuna Bekleviç as to what Turkey will look like in the year 2023. Probably one of the most interesting aspects of Mr. Bekleviç’s talk was that he and his group believe Turkey and its 70 million people can achieve economic success without the influx of IMF or EU funding.
The 45 minute presentation, followed by an animated one hour question and answer period, covered a variety of issues, critical to Turkey as it looks to the future."
