Turkey, EU Presidency Agree Draft on Entry Talks

"Turkey, EU Presidency Agree Draft on Entry Talks

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Turkey and the European Union's Dutch presidency agreed on Friday on the draft for the bloc's offer to open membership talks next year, a Turkish diplomat said.
'Turkey and the Dutch presidency have agreed on a draft but now what the Council (of EU leaders) is going to say is important,' the diplomat said.
He was speaking after Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan worked with EU leaders on the sensitive wording of an agreement for Turkey to start entry talks with the EU, particularly tacit recognition by Ankara of the Greek Cypriot government in Nicosia."
