Why has our government and many others tiptoed around the Armenian genocide issue with Turkey for almost 100 years? After all, there’s no doubt that the Turks’ denial of responsibility for genocide in the murder of 1.5 million Christian Armenians in 1915. Turkey is a total fraud. Now that Turkey’s secular mask has been pulled off by its Islamist government, there’s certainly no diplomatic reason to avoid calling a spade a spade any more.
