European parliament chief slams Turkey over Cyprus boycott

ANKARA: The European Parliament's chief criticised Turkey Monday for threatening to freeze ties with the EU when the bloc's rotating presidency shifts to Cyprus, which Ankara does not recognise as a sovereign state.
