"Istanbul - the city of dreams

In the summer of July 2007, my family and I ventured to Istanbul, Turkey, courtesy of an invitation from an American-Turkish family we know. The trip was six days, yet it needed far more time.
Our first morning in Istanbul, we awoke to the beautiful sound of the Turkish athaan for Fajr. Later that day, after we enjoyed a traditional Turkish breakfast on the terrace of the hotel, we walked to the Hagia Sophia, less than a 30-minute walk from our hotel. It was a beautiful sight to see light shining through stained glass upon Allah’s name."
