"Canadian peace walker arrives in Turkey
Jean Beliveau, who began his walk “for a violent-free and peaceful world” in 2000 from the Canadian town of Montreal, arrived in Turkey.
The 52-year-old peace walker entered Turkey through the İpsala border in the city of Edirne and was hosted by Zafer Doğan, the president of the Hunters Association of İpsala. Beliveau told the Anatolian News Agency that he walked for 41,332 kilometers, passed through 44 countries, wore out 32 pairs of sneakers and 4 trailers until reaching İpsala."
